Winter Can Be Beautiful
“Let us love winter, for it is the spring of genius.“ ~Pietro Aretino
For this
Vision Art Design I was determined to find the beauty in Winter. While living in - what I like to refer to as “The Tundra” - a few months in, you absolutely are asking yourself, “WHY OH WHY DO I LIVE HERE??? It's so extreme!” The first Winter I lived in
Duluth, MN it was -30 for a month straight and I questioned my choices and sanity. There IS beauty though, the beauty of snuggling up on the couch with a blanket, the beauty of everything covered in sparkling white snow, and the beauty of, (let's hear it girls!) sweaters and cute boots!! The two young girls featured in this design is the most beautiful of all, pure love. If it wasn't for the Winter, there would be no snowballs, snowmen, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling AND (let's hear it guys!) snow-blowing! Admit it, you love it! Why else would my neighbor, who works very hard, take the time to plow me out after every snowfall? Even creating a path to my car. There's even more beauty: helping your neighbor. OK, so it's only December, with many months of Winter to go, but like last Winter, I am determined once again, to embrace the snow-fallen land in the Tundra!
Remember January 9th, you can piece together your DREAM LIFE in the Vision Board Class I will be teaching at ART IN THE ALLEY 1323 Broadway Superior, WI 54880.
