Your Hobby Could Enchant

Enchanted Makeovers Mission:

Since 2007, Enchanted Makeovers’ mission has been to transform homeless shelters for women and children into places that inspire behavioral and psychological change. Through our various projects, mentoring programs and makeovers of the physical space, women and children are introduced to a way of thinking that helps to shift their outlook about their lives and possibilities for the future. The shelter is transformed into a “beacon of hope”. Mentoring programs such as the“Sacred Sewing Room”, “Stepping into the Dream”and “Capes for Kids” develop important life and coping skills.
Please help support Enchanted Makeovers’mission with your tax-deductible donation of $10, $20 or $50.

How To Become a Truthteller - Wf1

“The love that saves us in not a love that might come to us in the future, but rather the love we can give to whomever is around us right now.”  — Marianne Williamson

  • Inspires women daily through quotes, photos, videos and writings.

There are many reasons for women to honor their own truth and experience. 35 Things I'm Happy I Learned By Age 35

35 Things I'm Happy I Learned By Age 35 - Tales of Ordinary Magic

Age 35 is just the BEGINNING!

1. What you put out to the world, you get back.
2. There is no point in comparing yourself to others; we are all on our own unique journey.
3. Forgiveness is for you, not the other person. Learn to forgive and you will free yourself from the chains of the past.
4. Take time to discover your purpose. A life without purpose is a life of despair. Purpose is different than ambition. Ambition may bring in the big bucks, but something will still be missing. A purpose driven life creates an abundance of meaning and  fulfillment.
5. Truth-seeking is neither comfortable nor popular, but it’s worth it.
6. Lead with your heart, not your mind. Your heart won’t lead you astray.
7. Your life doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s- if you follow your heart, it won’t.
8. Life really does begin at the edge of your comfort zone. Push yourself to explore the corners of the earth and that which lies within you.
9. Friends change. Celebrate the good times and let go. Letting go makes space for new people who are in a present time alignment to enter your life.
10. Exercise is always a good idea.
11. On a planet where everything is telling you otherwise- you are enough.
12.  What you resist will persist. What you fear will appear.
13. GO FOR IT. There are no mistakes; the only mistake is doing nothing.
14. Don’t take things personally. It’s not about you.
15. Be the beginner- the beginner never fails.
16. You can’t change anyone except yourself. Change yourself and watch your world around you change.
17. Everything in life you do for you.
18. Like a seesaw, as belief in yourself goes up, competition goes down.
19. Neutrality is the key to consciousness.
20. Every relationship is a mirror. Whatever judgments you have about others are reflecting that which exists inside you. Use your resistances as a map to direct you where you need to heal.
21. There is nothing like a dog’s love.
22. Be grateful. The more grateful you are, the more you get.
23. When you lie, the only person you are fooling is yourself.
24. Real happiness only exists in the present moment. If you are anxious or fearful, you are in the future. If you are resentful or sad, you are stuck in the past.
25.  There is no greater power than spiritual truth.
26. Dance, Dance, Dance. Whatever you do, don’t stop dancing.
27. Everything is energy. And the energies we don’t see are more powerful than the ones we do see.
28. Ingesting toxic substances makes the whole world seem dim. Genuinely happy people do not destroy their bodies every weekend in the name of fun.
29. To have complete trust your in a romantic partnership is the greatest gift. It frees your mind of worry, making way for inspiration. I’ve yet to find anything as fleeting or as satisfying as inspiration.
30. Make art, music and love as much as possible.
31. Don’t look for an amazing person to come into your life. Be an amazing person.
32. Perfect is an illusion that stunts your growth. Life is messy, it’s a process- say yes to life and dig in.
33.  Net worth doesn’t equate to self worth. Authenticity, vulnerability, and integrity do.
34. Ailments of the body are connected to unbalanced thinking in the mind.
35. Change is one of the few things that remains constant. Welcome it.

LIVE with Kelly and Michael

triviaindex | LIVE with Kelly and Michael

Enter Live With Kelly & Michael's Trivia Contest!  People REALLY do win!  I know because in 2009, I won a trip to Barbados!  I had never traveled far and made this:

Not three months later, I received a call from Regis & Kelly!  You can see the video here!  If you listen carefully, you can hear me laughing hysterically after I won!  In typical teenage fashion, I am called a nerd by my daughter.  I still took her with me:

One of the many pool areas.  Not for tall people!

I saw this and thought "OPRAH!"

We took a ride in one of these jobbies!

Not willing to get her pic taken...

Erin LOVED the trees of Barbados.

Crazy kid.

It was so exciting and FINALLY something concrete I could share in my Vision Board Workshops.  Many, many other things have come true from one of my first vision boards:

Including a column in a local paper called, The Reader.  The column is called Dish With Trish which pontificates over dating and relationships.  At the end of the column is an advice section and you can write triciawaltman@yahoo.com with your questions.  With a mixture of spiritual and street, get a unique take on your problems or issues.

Featured on the Epiphany Channel!

Epiphany: “The Secret” Leads to “Regis & Kelly” & A Biz in Vision Boards! May.21.12

This submitted epiphany story is in question and answer format (questions found on the Share Your Epiphany page).

What is your greatest epiphany in life? (summarize in 1 or 2 sentences)

While watching “The Secret” somebody said, “We usually think about what we DON’T want.” Suddenly, I knew that’s exactly what I had been doing – always thinking about what I didn’t want instead of what I most desired - and now I could change that.

What led up to that moment?

Years and years of reading self-help books led up to the purchase of “The Secret.”This made sense to me in a way that made everything else make sense.

What happened in that moment?

I felt POWERFUL! Since I was the one that created my whole life situation, that meant, consciously thinking, I could make my life exactly what I wanted.

What happened afterward? Did your life change? If so, how?

After finishing “The Secret,” I embarked on a reading frenzy that included books like:

The Power of Positive Thinking

A Return To Love

Creating True Prosperity

Think and Grow Rich

What the Bleep (movie)

…and many others.

I read about 2 books a week for a year, studying, doing the exercises, and taking notes. One of the exercises was to make a vision board. The instant I pasted some flowers by a woman’s cheek on my vision board was the moment I found my joy, my gift, my happiness.

Since I hadn’t traveled much, I made a “TRAVEL” vision board (pictured above) and not a few months later, I received a call from LIVE With Regis & Kelly! They asked me the daily trivia question, I got it right, and won a trip to Barbados on my daughter’s 13th birthday!

Advice Vision Board

Health Vision Board

I have another vision board with Kelly Ripa on it that I had made previously stating “ADVICE” on it – and now I have “Dish With Trish,” a local advice column. It was time to get down to business with exercise so I made a “HEALTH” vision board and made up a 40-Day Challenge to exercise every day for 30 minutes. I ended up going 431 days.

Then I started making vision boards for friends, family, non-profits and found another amazing by-product. While making vision boards for other people, I kept being asked time after time,”How did you know this? How did you know that?” and I suddenly realized that the process had become intuitive. I somehow could channel in their deepest wants, desires, and goals! It is a precious thing to watch their faces as they gaze over their dreams and many burst into tears. It’s now 4 years later and the vision boards have become a great business that I love.
