Did you ever want something so bad you could not only taste it but feel it in your bones? Every cell in your body zinging with a great and passionate desire? You've done everything you can possibly do to make it happen, yet this desire eludes you? It seems the simplest of things, but did you ever think to ASK? Faith is your best bet! Most people NEVER think to ASK! It's amazing. I've done it myself, over and over. When it finally does occur to me to ask God for the blessing, I can't believe that I didn't think of it before! There is a book, “The Prayer Of Jabez” by Bruce Wilkinson, that I stumbled across a few years ago and I couldn't believe that the concept of asking had never been in my forte. Of course, you pray for other people but do you pray for yourself? Not just begging for things or people or circumstances to change, but to ask for the good stuff too!! Just a note, asking for others to change, I believe to be fruitless...ask for strength to deal with it. Here's how the Prayer Of Jabez goes:

Oh, That You Would Bless Me, Indeed
And Expand My Territory
That You Would Give Me Your Hand
And Keep Me From Evil
That I Would Not Cause Harm...Amen
